Medieval Fur And Jewelery

During the medieval clothing era fur and jewelry were often used to line the inside of the clothing of the very wealthy. The jewelry warn was very lavish as most of it was imported and used as security against loans of those times. The cutting of gems hadn't even been invented yet so the stones didn't truly look as beautiful as they could. This however did not hamper the medieval clothing of the time. One of the most popular items of the 12th century and beyond was ring broaches, the kings and queens would wear them and make peasants and scholars kneel before them and kiss, if not they would slew them down with a blunt object. Fast forward all the way to the 14th century when diamonds were becoming ever so much more popular and there were many laws to control the wearing of certain types of jewelry, knights were never permitted to wear rings. Medieval clothing is definitely a keepsake wave of the future and will forever live on if we embody our lives with the the garments and help them to last through the thick and thin.
